For friends who often drive, after getting a new semi-trailer, it is necessary to go through the running-in period before it can be driven smoothly. After the new car leaves the factory, due to the errors in the processing accuracy and assembly process of the parts, a certain mileage of running-in is required to form an oxide film. The running-in period is very important for new cars. Because the running-in period can increase the service life, safety and economy of the trailer to a certain extent. The reason why many trailers have a short service life is that the car is not run-in well during the running-in period. So how to spend the running-in period?

First, a comprehensive inspection should be carried out before the vehicle leaves the vehicle, requiring the connection with the main engine to be correct and reliable, the braking system to be normal, the tire pressure to meet the regulations, and no looseness, cracking and deformation of various parts.

Second, then load the weight according to the limit, and never overload. The cargo in the carriage should be evenly distributed to avoid danger caused by the tilt of the carriage. In addition, it is necessary to accelerate and refuel lightly, avoid sudden refueling and acceleration, and it is particularly important to drive at a constant speed.

Third, the new semi-trailer should be run-in. During the running-in period, the load shall not exceed 80% of the rated load mass; after driving at medium speed for about 150 kilometers, you should pay attention to the temperature of the bearings and wheel hubs and whether the fasteners such as leaf springs and wheels are tightened. These parts should be tightened once every 40 kilometers or so. After tightening three times, it can be used normally.

Fourth, when the carriage is loaded with hard and heavy goods such as stones and ironware, it should be handled with care to avoid damaging the trailer carriage; when transporting firewood and other objects, they should be tied with ropes and the trailer carriage buckle should be locked.

Fifth, when the semi-trailer is driving, you should pay attention to check whether the brakes are hot, whether there is any abnormal smell, whether the trailer running device is offset, etc. If there is any abnormal phenomenon, stop the car immediately to check and eliminate it.

Sixth, the unit should start smoothly. Do not put your feet on the brake pedal during driving, and try to reduce emergency braking.

Seventh, the tire bearing clearance should be checked after every 500 hours of work. When checking, lift the carriage and turn the wheel. There should be no obvious shaking; if there is obvious shaking, it should be adjusted. The method is to remove the bearing cover, screw the shaft head slot nut to the bottom, and then back it off 1/6 turn. At this time, the bearing clearance is about 0.25 mm.

New cars in the running-in period need to be run-in according to the above requirements. In this way, the new car that has passed the running-in period will not only be easy to drive, but also in the future use, as long as it is carefully maintained, the service life of your own semi-trailer will definitely be much longer than other trailers, and it will be safer and more economical.
